And I complain I have no time for anything .. when I am in reality pissing about all day on the net. I blog, ok .. somehow erratically.. here. I am shocked with the flurry of activity over the previous few days, given all the pending posts I have to write elsewhere. I haven't written a column for my favourite Gulf Daily News in months. I have half written drafts which I need to post on Global Voices Online and Voices without Votes; I have a million and one emails to respond to .. and things I absolutely have to follow up on. I want to start Arabic translations for Lingua before I forget the two words I know in Arabic. I have an apartment which looks like it has been bombshelled. I have been spring cleaning since Friday and nothing seems to be in place and everything is tipsy turvy and in the wrong places. I have a sofa in the middle of my livingroom and a vacuum cleaner poised in my bedroom. My guest room is in disarray and I have a friend I have to pick up from the airport tomorrow. The car hasn't been washed since the last rainfall and ever time it snows, it gets caked with another layer of dirt. And what am I doing: Facebooking, Twittering, Del.icio.using, Stumbling Upon, and Technocrating - and don't even bring Google Analytics into the equation or playing mind-numbing games online. And I have a craving for roast beef .. so I need to pick up a fresh cut and marinate it... and I feel like painting. The TV is playing in the background in the other room and Asala is singing here. And I feel I want to be somewhere else. The clock is ticking. And I feel calm and fulfilled. Work is calling. And I feel I shouldn't run. In time, everything will fall in place.
And I say why is there no more time in the 24 hours of the day when I could have finished at least ONE of the 101 pending things in the time I have written this post!

While reading through your post, I stopped for a moment and thought to myself: is this Silly Bahraini Girl whose writing this or is it me!!
I also have a million and one things that I should be doing, but why worry just as you said, sooner or later they will all fall into place, hoping that we don't fal with it !!!
keep doing what you feel like doing, and keep the pending tasks for another time "when you feeli like it".
All the best :)
Hi silly Bahraini girl,
I read your blog a lot though I don't comment usually! I was wondering if you could tell me how to add myself to the Bahraini blog aggregator. When I go to the site http://bahrainblogs.org/ I can't find a link or an email where I can contact the administrator in order to add my blog. Thanks!
Welcome to the world of blogging Insana and Reeshiez. I will drop Mahmood Al Yousif a line and ask him to add your blogs to the Bahrain Blog Aggregator.. and having an option to submit links to the site is an awesome I idea :) I will claim it as mine :)) Just kidding!
Was reading the post and nodding---also have a zillion things I should be doing...and instead I am sitting on my butt, surfing the net.
Well, then, off the butt and onto my bike for some exercise....in another half hour, maybe. :)
Gila,
Get back to work!! LOL.. half an hour of surfing, especially on my thought-provoking blog won't kill though!!
