A bitch fight is expected in the Bahraini Parliament as Al Wefaq Bloc MPs threaten to cause mayhem if they don't get to question someone over something. According to tomorrow's Gulf Daily News: MANAMA: Angry MPs have vowed to halt today's parliament session, unless their call to question a top minister is put on the agenda. Parliament's biggest bloc, Al Wefaq, will demand that MPs vote on its call to question Cabinet Affairs Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Ateyatala Al Khalifa, over "Bandargate". Al Wefaq will not allow the session to proceed unless it gets its way, bloc vice-president and parliament legislative and legal affairs committee vice-chairman Khalil Al Marzooq said last night. Parliament's weekly session was halted in just 10 minutes amidst a furious row two weeks ago, after Al Wefaq's demand was denied as unconstitutional by the general-secretariat office. Last week's session was disrupted for three hours, as the row continued. Al Wefaq was meeting last night, after failed talks with parliament chairman Khalifa Al Dhahrani earlier in the day. And according to highly informed sources I was just chatting to on gtalk from the comforts of my pad somewhere near the North Pole: hehehehe al wefaq want a fight.. and they'll get it :D me: lol spill the beans u can't just give me headlines T: it's the whole bandergate thing me: i want beans meat and rice the full meal! and make it a happy meal T: al wefaq want to question attiatallah the govt and the other nowab dont want to and so....... fight fight fight fight alwefaq have vowed to stall parliament if nothing happens me: why would anyone want to question attiyatullah? T: they already managed to disrupt the last session me: that is so lame ewwww T: I mean realllllly disrupt the last session lol wordsword: how did they do that? T: they called althahrani (Speaker) names like humar (donkey) and stuff after he stormed out of the session it was mayhem.. AND I MISSED IT T: and with any luck it will happen again tomrrow.. i'm so excited :D me: I would have been perked there on my window sill and laughed my head off I so want to cover Parliament again T: lol.. reading it was fun.. me: I want to be where the action is I want to witness it I want a first hand account I want to see men call each other donkey T: lool.. get it from tv.. they broadcast it you know.. me: dont they censor the ugly bits? T: all of it lol me: i know that all of it is ugly T: I think they shouldnt.. I think it should be clear to all what kind of people they've elected me: that is what we have been saying for years ministers change and policies don't I then suggest to my friend to gatecrash the party .. and email me pictures and updates from his cell phone so that I can live blog the session. me: can u take pictures with ur cellphone and email them to me inside the chamber.. they've jammed the signals lool but if they havent I'll be sure to email you but I'm pretty sure they have It's by invite only remember not everyone can enter into the session me: OK then .. I have a better plan. I will call the wefaqis and ask them to take Gameboys with them and play the entire session they wouldnt know how sweety me: they would they all love super mario I can call Ninetendo and ask them to sponsor the sessionWe have a money making scheme here And something for the good of our nation amoor me: we ask them to provide 40 Gameboys MPS play T: lol me: peace in Bahrain Ninetendo makes international headlines around the world T: even better.. ask amsterdam to sponsor the session.. give them all space cake and mps no fighty for a long time |
