The GDN has published an interview with our very own Godfather, the Blog Father of Bahraini bloggers.
Thanks Mahmood for the mention and Tariq for the great interview:
How did the handle 'The Blogfather' come about?
You have to thank my good friend Nader Shaheen for that honour. I have no idea what brought that term into his head while he was entering a comment a while ago; it seems to have stuck and was further perpetuated by another good friend Amira Al Hussaini. It does make me feel old, however!
It's good to know that some people back home still remember me! Off for dinner now ;)

nice dinner?
come home and I'll buy you a nicer one!
oh by the way, can you change the "bahrainblogs.com" to .org instead and correct the graphic? many thanks!
Congrats Mahmood. You deserve this title :)
and thanks a lot SBG for mentioning this, mahmood is too humble to mention it on his own blog ;)
CONGRATS MAHMOOD!!!
Thanks for bringing this interview public SBG!
Well done Mahmood! This has been quite a week for bloggers in the Press. First Dr Khalaf made it on to the front page of Al Watan and then this!
by the way, ive changed bahrainblogs button graphic from .com to .org . the url for the new graphic is:

Kudos Mahmood! And the GDN should start a corporate blog... les horton needs a blog desperately.. this seen as a result by the impersonators that had him and his cat on anon blogs in 2004/2005.
Maybe the GDN could allow Tariq to feature a blogger in Bahrain pr a blog/blog posting about bahrain each week?
Apart from the 3 GDN bloggers we know - Amira, Tariq & Eunice, am just wondering who else blogs at the GDN? any pointers? :-D
atleast the GDN doesn't blindly copy content off blogs like the other newspapers and magazines in Bahrain the goes with the 'copy 'n paste' practice. ;-)
Thanks Mahmood and Chanad.. the Bahrainblogs thing is fixed!
And Strav.. we at the GDN do not cut and paste ;) We can't. We actually maintain some standards!!
good to hear that SBG, sorry i i've implied otherwise :) I was hinting the other 'bahrain magazines'
Strav,
Others can do as they please .. a law is pointless when some lack morals !
what law? morals - does that woed even exist in the mag biz? :-D
word* [typo above]
Strav.. It does! Just as it should in the world of Blogphobia!
