Well, I used to paint many many many years ago... and I always told myself that one day I will have enough time to sit back and paint. And the time came, and the inspiration went. I mean, if I plan my time properly, I have a hell of a lot of time to piss about in.. but nothing moves me to paint. Sigh!
Last week I saw Mahmood's photograph and I asked him if I could lift it for a painting. I don't want to give Mahmood the credit for making me paint - after a 15 year break - because I don't really consider my painting a proper painting. It is more like a sketch.. besides it took less than an hour to complete.

Hisham.. I paint (rather used to) quickly.. wet on wet..Although it is an oil painting.. it has a watercolour effect and is very quick to complete. I don't have the patience and discipline for spending more time on a painting any more which is a shame...
Perhaps embarrassing my modest/lazy/silly effort and portraying it here will encourage me to be a push in the right direction.
The reason the picture isn't that clear is because I took it at night.. using a flash.. while the painting was still wet..It should look better in a couple of days after the paint sets and dries.

It's so pretty! silly quick for sure :-) 3ad continue 7aram an artistic talent goes to waste.. maybe I'll return to piano after my own 10 year break (oh the laziness)

Mahmood.. Sounds like a good idea. I fully understand the underlying reason for your suggestion. You want me to waste time pissing about with paintings.. while you blog away. Fine! LOL!!
