While working on this yesterday .. and after seeing the terrible end result .. I decided not to post it. But because that bell in my head rang and again I am wide awake at 2am .. and I have nothing to do.. and I can't go back to sleep.. I am posting it.
This painting was inspired by a much more sophisticated shot by Georgia Popplewell. While her bird has character mine looks demented.

I looked at your painting and I thought "that looks a bit sinister."
and then I looked at the original picture and thought "definitely sinister."
You've done pretty well with it. The bird's eye in your painting is very inquisitive...
emmm.. so let's get this straight.
I think it's demented. You think it's sinister.
So so far we have a demented sinister bird. Let's see how this evolves.
