Past, Present and Future

PAST: This blog used to be really interesting. Someone asked me for something today and I told him.. hang on a second.. I remember blogging about it ... and I went through the archives and was blown away! It had a personality, a kick and lots of humour! It was angry, bitter, sarcastic and cynical in one. It was a blog. This now.. isn't!

PRESENT: I don't know what's happened? Have blogs or bloggers evolved? Instead of focusing on my own blog, I am spending hours working on this site. Don't get me wrong. I am glad I am associated with them and am contributing to the welfare of our blogging community as a whole.

Thanks of course to Haitham Sabbah for recruiting me to summarise Bahraini blogs last year. I know why he did that. He wanted me to do the work at GV while he concentrated on his own blog.. emmm .. and you know what happened to him. His blog was blown away. (Haitham you know I am just kidding! Come back soon)

In turn, I passed the bucket to Bint Battuta who is now doing a marvellous job covering the Bahrain round ups .. while I piss about with other areas in our crazy threatened blogosphere.

FUTURE: Who knows? Blogs will disappear into cyberspace.. they will be a thing of the past. Bloggers from our part of the world will be in jail for breaking each and every rule under the desert's sun. I will be worried who my cellmate would be .. while the once-upon-a-time-bloggers from the rest of the civilised world would be conducting online campaigns which no one will read because blogs will be obsolete by then.
