The Bahrain Centre for Human Rights (now dissolved but surprisingly still more functional and vocal than the Bahrain Society for Human Rights - has anyone heard anything about them lately?) has issued a communique with serious allegations against the justice system in Wonderland.

In it, they point fingers at the Pubic Prosecution and the Courts, and say in as many terms that they are CORRUPT... something SILLY GIRL has been saying for YEARS.

Whether I agree with the actions of a few (about 300 people), who gathered at the airport and caused damage worth a whopping BD400 and change (something you would spend grocery shopping!) is irrelevant.

The point I am trying to make is that those allegations of corruption in the judiciary and Pubic Prosecution have been going on for years and there seems to be A LOT of reluctance from the government to make a real change.

It's hightime to get some heads rolling .. and I hope .. I mean I pray.. they don't start with she who is writing those words. (Please, don't you dare kill the messenger .. just listen to the message .. and if it is silly, then no harm is meant..It is all being said for the Love of Wonderland!)

The problem with people like the Human Rights Centre and others is that their campaigns are seasonal. One day they are supporting this cause, the next that. They don't seem to have a focused plan .. perhaps because things in explosive Wonderland, they are kept busy at all times.

There needs to be a group of dedicated people out there - law-makers and people with common sense - whose main goal in life is to ensure that we have a sound system of Justice..

For without Justice, the people of Wonderland would never aspire to live decent and dignified lives. Is there anyone listening ?

You make me smile every time you refer to Bahrain as Wonderland. i always think of the zainy TV show "Wonderland" which takes place in an Ontario low level court in which everyone is a little peculiar, clients, lawyers and judges. Perhaps, there are parallels.!!!!

I hear what you're saying. It's people like you who make a whole load of sense need to speak out and find people who can voice these thoughts to the public.

The Alito Supreme Court confirmation hearings (US) are the bllogger's rage. To me it is somehow a routine revisited. Meaning the partisans line up to attack their political opponents. Beyond predictable, even silly. Of course I'm sure they are all very sincere.

The liberal/leftists, probably some conservatives too, often speak of corruption in the Public justice system and the courts. I am sure they are all very sincere.
