I am stuck in Wonderland this summer.. The fact that explosions are going off in some of the destinations I have pencilled in for this summer is not a mere coincidence. It is my bad luck rubbing off on them.

The situation is that the earliest I can book time off is towards the end of the year, after the weather has cooled down and I have melted. There are a few things going on which are making it impossible for me to leave, even for a wicked weekend.

All my friends are away... away and gone... and I can't help but turn green. Today I am a shade lighter than our Iguana. Our parrot is a shade darker though.

The last of my friends is now in Dubai, so I am literally cut off. She begged me to join her. She asked me to book a sickie... She lured me with a first class ticket and a stay in one of the top hotels there.. and I still couldn't make it.

When I called her earlier, she had finished her meeting and was enjoying a massage... And where the hell was I? Another late night at the office.

Here's a photograph I took from the Press Club in Dubai during my last visit:

Isn't it a shame that as citizens and residents of Wonderland, a land surrounded by water from all sides, and we are all dying for decent beaches?

Decent beaches?

What do you call the marine environment by Alba?

I mean, sure, once you swim in it you might contract a few skin diseases, lose your hair, and turn blind, but the water's warm and the sight of dead jellyfish bodies floating around could be pretty comforting. And the thick yellow clouds their big striped pipes produce make the sight honeymoon-worthy.

The best beaches in Bahrain not for sillygirl , its for those who occupied it long time ago . The best way is either to join a health club in a hotel (( but I don't assure the clean swimming pool )) . The best way to spend money in Bahrain is (( Buy an Electric Generator )) and try to connect it with Air conditioner . The ministry of Electricity promise all bahraini with a different summer .

I would like to invite you to UK but I feel that you are fear of what happend here . for me I will not visit London Until I finish my study and i will remain Cardiff cos' it is safer .

The weather here yesterday was rainy (Heavy Rain) .

BTW ... what happened to the Marina Club Beach Resort Deal? Did it fall thru again? :-D

SillyBahrainiGirl said...

marina club beach resort?

emmmmmmmmmm.. there have been several over the past few years. The last thing I heard about the marina club is that the decision on what to do with it lies in the labour minister's hands since he is head of the general organisation for social insurance which owns the government stake in it.

and there were problems. and there were bribes.. and everyone lived happily ever after.

strav.. do i look like someone with a crystal ball?

how would a silly girl know?

Ah look at them, they didn't even taste what they've been crawling for ages yet, and they hope for democracy as they're already its perverse effects.
from Iran to Bahrain via UAE, i hope this change will never come. i still prefer enlightened contradictions than those bobos already in a need for what will soon make them cry.
Hey, by the way, try to rush, Emirates offers double redeem this summer!
i'm bad i know, i'm still lovely you'll see...

Excuse moi? Parlez-vous anglais?

NouR said...
