According to this, Al Jazeera has started airing in English from today!
Whether I agree with the station's line or not, I think we are all mature enough to admit to ourselves that no news service is ever objective or neutral or all that other crap shoved down our throats day and night for those of us lucky enough to be working in de Press!
Having said that, I am glad to welcome an Arab prespective (however twisted) into news reporting. Being here for a YEAR, and following news channels which are so detached from reality, makes me shake my head in shock every time I am forced to watch TV. This makes me want to cling to anything new in the hope that it would offer us something different and hopefully more balanced. Isn't it sad that we have to embrace something new because what we have is bad..and not because what is new is better?!

it looks way too much like the BBC. it wont be perfect, but it will provide a new perspective. the arab regimes should start worrying given some of the topics they are planning on covering
