I know I am so far away from that hell hole.. but I am still angry with everything going on there! You would think the threat of winter and more tornados would dampen my spirit? You would lie to yourself and say that the continuous downpour we had yesterday would depress me and shut me up? Wrong.. You are wrong over and over again.

What really lifted my spirits today is the news that the losers have lost!! Hurray!! Way to go you bunch of arse smoochers!

How can the fucking banking hub of the Middle East, which is incapable of supplying me with a vital paper here in Canada, expect to win a football match and qualify to the world final?? Those losers should do better than to embarrass us and the rest of the downtrodden Bahrainis.

We already have enough people doing damage to OUR country and its reputation by their corruption, laziness and backwardness!! (Parliament bashing anyone??) We really don't need a 22-member squad to add insult to injury!!

Have a good day!

Silly Girl,

I'm usually pretty open-minded about these things but you've taken it a bit too far this time.

A lot of us abroad and at home are hurting mighty bad over what happened last night. We lost a very important game of football and are feeling the pain as a collective nation. National pride is seriously wounded.

Now I know you have your opinions about all things to do with Bahrain, but this is one thing you shouldn't touch. Not this early on anyway. Political, economical, religious and social issues be damned.. you have just insulted our national pride and that is something I can't stand for. Even if you're still annoyed at your bank, it just isn't an excuse.

I'm sorry to have to say this, but your last post was just too silly. I'm Bahraini and proud to be one no matter how much is wrong with my country. The fact that you can have so little sympathy and openly rub salt into our wounds a mere HOURS after I cried my heart out for our collective loss sickens me to my stomach.

I hope you have a good day yourself.

leyla9532 - threatening the former editor of an English Language Daily is the wrong way to go about this. Just to let you know that you've made things worse, on one hand we have information that the MoFA/MOI are trying their level best to clean up Bahrain's reputation with regards to freedom of expression and blogging (all the best to them) and on the other hand we have the so called lobbyists who think that all it takes is a phone call to get a person silenced. Gone are the old days.

By all means you're most welcome to try the technique again, but be warned you're just making it hard for yourself and on those trying to clean up from the inside.

Last but not least this blog might be monitored by the MoI/the Paris Press Club, etc. and now you may add RSF, CPB, EFF and MediaBloggers to it as well.

Good day to you,
a foreign media monitor.

WTF people?

Let the girl speak up!! I love football, but not our national football team, although I was gonna be happy for them to reach the WC but frankly, they simply DO NOT deserve it, remember fucking Saudi Arabia back in 2002? although they are a top asian team yet they lost 8-0 to Germany, do we need more embarrasments to Asian football and lose more spots the coming world cups? I don't think so.
