If you were not living in the damp South, in the steel city, you could look forward to cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, making a snow cave and sleeping in it over night, having a shore lunch by the edge of a wilderness lake, and best of all, you could dream about snowshoeing into the bush to a spot untouch by another person, to stop and listen to the Silence, surrounded by white and shadows.
