"How do stupid people survive?"
He said: "They actually survive better.. because they don't have any headaches in life."
Me: "But do they realise how stupid they are?"
He: "No one thinks he's stupid.. everyone believes he has it all.."

You have to read this book - I read it in French, but it has since been translated into English. I kept laughing out loud when I read it (which rarely happens) - it's very, very funny:

nature has a way of finishing stupid people off... its the whole theory of Darwin, etc, like when the Dodo became extinct because it was too stupid to survive. Thats just how it is, life goes on for clever people while the stupid ones get killed by doing something really stupid. Want proof? Take a look at the Darwin Awards:

'Ignorance is bliss', so when a person is considered stupid or acts like one, they tend to be unaware of their surroundings, they look at the world in a different manner and perceive that they have little to worry about; but the reality might be that they are in a heck of a lot of trouble or have a lot of pending issuer that they are not bothered about.
Either way, they get fewer ulcers and live longer, unless they are in debt to a loan shark, I guess, or one of us drives over them!!

I regret you used the term 'retard' to refer to stupid people. Retard comes from retardation which is a mental handicap. Stupid people can be found among all levels of intellectual ability. To make fun of the handicapped is unfair at best or even cruel. Calling someone a retard is the same as calling an African-Canadian a spear chucker, an Arab a raghead, a French Canadian a frog. .well you get the idea.

Thanks Pebbles for your insight. I personally would never call people with special needs retards. They have a special place in my heart. I, however, took the privilege of calling stupid people who annoy me retards - because that is what they really are!
from these "stupid" poeples perspectives, they could be saying the same thing about you tht you are stupid. two worlds meeting in the middle failing to connect instead conflict, usually patience understanding tolerence and the whole shabang make things work. if not just a little pissed off bahraini girl and you guys having a stimulating conversation about all these pitifull stupid poeple.
