I am still here ;)

We were supposed to board last night's plane to London and then to Toronto, where an old friend will take us to what will become home sweet home for the next three years: Hamilton, Ontario.

There my beloved hubby will join this programme related to his job at McMaster University..while I figure out what I want to do with my life ;) I know I am going.. and I know that when I return to wonderland I will find friends here.

FREEDOM...finally!

Hey, have fun in Canada. Hamilton (where you're going) tends to be a fairly "blue-collar" town, with a lot of people living and working in steel mills and other industrial plants. If you want to continue your work as a journalist, Hamilton is only a 30 minute drive from Toronto. And if you don't feel like dealing with "rush hour" traffic there is a commuter train system called "GO Transit" that will get you right into downtown Toronto.

Toronto is very diverse, and I don't think you'll have much difficulty finding Shawarmas or any other food you might fancy there.

Good luck!

I'm not sure if after leaving Bahrain the first thing you'd want to eat are shawarmas; but in the event that they are: Ladheedh/Lazeez in Toronto (on Gerrard St. and east of Yonge St.) make the wickedist! Thick, juicy, toasted a little, ladheeeeeeeedh!

Outside of shawarma, Toronto (Downtown) has some of the best food on order, from everywhere. If you like to eat and eat different, you'll love TO!

I have been advised by SBG that she has already located the local shawarma establishments since her arrival in the Great White North.

She has yet to tell me how good said places are... (Hint hint!)
